Since I decided a few years ago to dedicate mysefl full time to creating and glass, many unexpected encounters and events have come my way in almost magical circumstances.

The opportunity to exhibit at the Zomer van Wechel is one of those improbable stories:

'Last year, around Christmas, I was exhibiting at Gallery Begramoff in Brussels. One of our visitors was a photographer based in Antwerp. We talked for quiet some time and he told me he was looking for opportunities to exhibit in Brussels. He then mentioned an exhibition he participated into the year before, held in a small village north of Antwerp:     Wechelderzande ... the village where my father was born and raised ...'

 Opening is14 August 2018 at 7pm

Regards sur Cours - Gorée, Senegal

29, 30 April, 1 May 2017

An important artistic event in Senegal, and for its 11th edition a special theme: 'L'eau et l'ailleurs - Water and the elsewhere'.

A theme that resonates with the choice I made to live part of the year on Murano, on the Venetian lagune. Murano, the island of glass, from which departed the glass beads that were traded against slaves. Those slaves that were held in Gorée, before being shipped to America.

A special edition this year with a hommage to the work of Ousmane Sow and the participation of the Dapper Foundation.
